What is Pharmacovigilance?

Pharmacovigilance (PV or PhV), also known as drug safety, is the pharmacological science relating to the collection, detection, assessment, monitoring, and prevention of adverse effects with pharmaceutical products

Any response that is noxious and unintended, and that occurs at doses normally used in humans for the prophylaxis, diagnosis, therapy of disease, or for modification of physiological function
